2026: The JCI World Congress Returns to the Philippines After 28 Years, With Clark Hosting the Historic Fourth Gathering

The Philippines once again takes its place as host of Junior Chamber International’s largest annual gathering as the 81st JCI World Congress unfolds in Clark, Pampanga, from November 11 to 15, 2026.

Under the theme “Make Great Things Happen,” this year’s Congress brings together the international JCI community for leadership development, business networking, organizational assemblies, cultural exchanges, and opportunities for cooperation among young leaders.

Organizers set their sights on welcoming more than 6,000 delegates from over 120 countries and territories, reflecting the scale and international significance of the gathering.

The successful Philippine bid, secured in 2024, was spearheaded by JCI Manila and JCI Angeles City Culiat, with support from the Clark Development Corporation. The Congress is organized in collaboration with JCI Philippines.

Under Congress Director Luis Angelo “LA” Sevilla, preparations have focused on delivering an international experience while highlighting Filipino hospitality, culture, and the country’s growing capacity to host major global events.

Unlike the three previous Congresses held in Manila, the 2026 edition takes place in Clark, reflecting the emergence of another major destination for international conventions and tourism in the Philippines.

For JCI Manila, the occasion carries a particularly meaningful historical significance.

The chapter that pioneered the Jaycee movement in the Philippines, helped bring the first JCI World Congress to Asia in 1950, and contributed to subsequent Philippine hostings now plays a central role in welcoming the international organization back to the country.

The return of the Congress after 28 years represents both an organizational milestone and a testament to the continuity of Filipino leadership across generations.

A Legacy Spanning 76 Years: Four World Congresses and the Enduring Contribution of Filipino Jaycees to International Leadership

Across 76 years, the Philippines’ four World Congress hostings reflect different periods in the country’s development.

The 1950 Congress symbolized the optimism of postwar reconstruction and the emergence of Filipino leadership on the international stage.

The 1978 gathering demonstrated the growing international reach of the Philippine Jaycee movement and its capacity to organize a record setting assembly.

The 1998 Congress celebrated five decades of Philippine Jaycee achievements against the backdrop of the country’s independence centennial.

Today, the 2026 World Congress in Clark opens another chapter, reflecting the opportunities for leadership, innovation, and cooperation in an increasingly interconnected world.

Throughout these generations, the underlying ideals have remained constant: leadership, international understanding, brotherhood, and service to humanity.

The legacy is particularly meaningful for JCI Manila, whose founding members helped establish a movement that would eventually grow into hundreds of local organizations throughout the Philippines.

As delegates from across the globe gather in Clark, the 2026 JCI World Congress represents more than another international convention. It is the continuation of a historic commitment begun by Filipino Jaycees who believed their country could contribute meaningfully to the world.

In 1950, Manila brought the JCI World Congress to Asia. Seventy six years later, the Philippines proudly welcomes the world once again.
