The Spirit of Sisterhood and Brotherhood: Celebrating the Inductions of Area 3

Every year, JCI members eagerly anticipate induction season.

It is a time when chapters celebrate new beginnings, honor the leaders who came before them, and formally entrust the future to a new generation of changemakers. Yet for those who have had the privilege of attending inductions across Area 3, these events become much more than ceremonial gatherings.

They become journeys.

Journeys that introduce us to new places, new cultures, new traditions, and most importantly, new friends.

This year, JCI Manila had the opportunity to witness and celebrate the inductions of many of our sister chapters across Area 3. From the shores of Palawan to the volcanic landscapes of Bicol, from the thriving communities of Cavite and Laguna to the heritage cities of Batangas and Quezon, every chapter reminded us why Area 3 remains one of the most vibrant and dynamic regions in JCI Philippines.

Representing this remarkable family are JCI Daet Bulawan, JCI Daet Kabihug, JCI Catanduanes, JCI Pili Isarog, JCI Daraga, JCI Legazpi Dawani, JCI Legazpi, JCI Tabaco, JCI Nagueña, JCI Naga Cariñosa, JCI General Trias Katipunan, JCI Silang Cattleya, JCI Silang Pasimuno, JCI Damas de San Pedro, JCI San Pedro Portal Key, JCI San Pablo 7 Lakes, JCI Puerto Princesa Oil, JCI Puerto Princesa Peacock, JCI Narra Grains, JCI Puerto Balayong, JCI Lucena, JCI Batangas Caballero, and JCI Lipa.

Though each chapter carries its own unique identity, they are united by a common purpose: creating positive change through leadership, service, and fellowship.

What makes these inductions truly memorable is how each chapter proudly showcases the best of its community.

In the Bicol Region, the chapters of JCI Daet Bulawan, JCI Daet Kabihug, JCI Pili Isarog, JCI Nagueña, JCI Naga Cariñosa, JCI Daraga, JCI Legazpi Dawani, JCI Legazpi, JCI Tabaco, and JCI Catanduanes offer visitors a glimpse into a region rich in culture, heritage, and natural beauty.

The majestic silhouette of Mayon Volcano stands proudly over Albay, serving as a symbol of resilience and strength. The bustling cities of Naga and Legazpi reflect a region that continues to grow while preserving its traditions. Meanwhile, the island paradise of Catanduanes reminds visitors that some of the country’s most breathtaking treasures remain hidden beyond the usual tourist routes.

Among the many inductions this year, JCI Catanduanes demonstrated how a chapter can transform an induction into an unforgettable cultural experience. Delegates were welcomed not only to a ceremony but to an island adventure. From the breathtaking views of Binurong Point to the fellowship activities at East Coast Beach, every moment reflected the warmth and pride of the Catandunganon people.

Visitors experienced firsthand why Catanduanes is known as the Happy Island. They were introduced to local delicacies, stunning landscapes, and a community that welcomed every guest as family. Considering that it was only the chapter’s second induction, the experience was nothing short of remarkable and demonstrated the tremendous potential of this rising chapter.

Food, of course, remains one of the greatest expressions of hospitality throughout Area 3.

In Bicol, guests are treated to iconic dishes such as Bicol Express, Laing, Pinangat, and an array of seafood specialties enriched by coconut milk and local spices. In Catanduanes, visitors discover unique delicacies including Ginataang Kinis, Karakol, Latik, Dawa, and fresh seafood harvested from the surrounding waters.

Yet beyond the cuisine and scenery, it is the people who leave the greatest impression.

The warmth of a welcome.

The conversations shared over meals.

The friendships formed during fellowship activities.

The memories created long after the formal program ends.

Moving westward, the chapters of JCI General Trias Katipunan, JCI Silang Cattleya, and JCI Silang Pasimuno proudly represent Cavite, a province where history and progress walk hand in hand.

Their communities continue to grow as centers of commerce, education, and development, while maintaining a strong appreciation for heritage and tradition. The members of these chapters embody the entrepreneurial spirit and determination that have become synonymous with Cavite’s success.

In neighboring Laguna, JCI Damas de San Pedro, JCI San Pedro Portal Key, and JCI San Pablo 7 Lakes continue a proud tradition of leadership and community involvement.

The province’s identity is reflected in its beautiful lakes, thriving business centers, and rich cultural heritage. Laguna’s famous delicacies, local traditions, and warm hospitality create an atmosphere that makes every induction feel like a homecoming.

Far to the southwest lies Palawan, often regarded as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

Represented by JCI Puerto Princesa Oil, JCI Puerto Princesa Peacock, JCI Narra Grains, and JCI Puerto Balayong, the province offers a completely different yet equally captivating experience.

Here, crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and lush landscapes create a backdrop unlike any other. Yet despite its global reputation as a tourism destination, what truly distinguishes Palawan is the character of its people. Their humility, generosity, and genuine hospitality transform every gathering into a meaningful experience.

The chapters of Palawan proudly carry that spirit, welcoming visitors with the same warmth that has made the province beloved by travelers from around the world.

Further north, JCI Lucena continues to represent the vibrant spirit of Quezon Province. As one of the region’s key economic and cultural centers, Lucena embodies the perfect balance between tradition and progress. The chapter’s commitment to leadership development and community service continues to strengthen not only its local community but the entire Area as well.

Meanwhile, the proud province of Batangas is represented by JCI Batangas Caballero and JCI Lipa.

Known for its entrepreneurial culture, rich history, and strong sense of community, Batangas has long been a breeding ground for exceptional leaders. Visitors are welcomed with the province’s famous hospitality, hearty cuisine, and unwavering pride in local traditions.

Whether enjoying a cup of Kapeng Barako, sharing stories over a meal, or participating in fellowship activities, guests quickly understand why Batangas chapters continue to play such an important role within Area 3.

As different as these chapters may be, there is a common thread that binds them all together.

The most memorable inductions are never defined by the venue.

They are not measured by the elegance of the decorations or the scale of the production.

Rather, they are remembered because of the people who make them possible.

The members who spend countless hours preparing for a single evening.

The officers who dedicate themselves to serving their chapters.

The senators and past presidents who continue to guide future leaders.

The hosts who ensure that every guest feels welcome.

The friendships that are formed.

The stories that are shared.

And the memories that endure long after the final photograph has been taken.

That is the true beauty of induction season.

It allows us to celebrate not only leadership but also community.

Not only achievement but also friendship.

Not only our individual chapters but the larger family that we all belong to.

As JCI Manila reflects on another remarkable season of inductions, we extend our gratitude to our sister chapters across Area 3.

To JCI Daet Bulawan, JCI Daet Kabihug, JCI Catanduanes, JCI Pili Isarog, JCI Daraga, JCI Legazpi Dawani, JCI Legazpi, JCI Tabaco, JCI Nagueña, JCI Naga Cariñosa, JCI General Trias Katipunan, JCI Silang Cattleya, JCI Silang Pasimuno, JCI Damas de San Pedro, JCI San Pedro Portal Key, JCI San Pablo 7 Lakes, JCI Puerto Princesa Oil, JCI Puerto Princesa Peacock, JCI Narra Grains, JCI Puerto Balayong, JCI Lucena, JCI Batangas Caballero, and JCI Lipa.

Thank you for opening your homes, sharing your culture, showcasing your communities, and reminding us what JCI is truly about.

Because while every chapter may have its own identity, every induction ultimately tells the same story.

A story of leadership.

A story of service.

A story of fellowship.

And above all, a story of people coming together to create positive change.

That is the spirit of Area 3.

And it is a story worth celebrating.
