Members of JCI Manila traveled to Cebu City on January 16, 2026 to attend the induction ceremonies of JCI Zugbuana, continuing the chapter’s tradition of supporting sister organizations across the country.
The visit was organized by project chairman Noel Robles, who coordinated the delegation from JCI Manila to participate in the event. The induction gathered members, officers, and guests to witness the formal installation of Zugbuana’s new leadership team as they assumed responsibility for guiding the chapter’s projects and initiatives for the year.

The ceremony reflected the energy and unity that the Zugbuana chapter is known for. As newly elected officers took their oath, the program highlighted the commitment of members to continue their work in leadership development and community service. The event also served as an opportunity for JCI Manila members to strengthen ties with their sisters in Cebu and reaffirm the collaborative spirit that connects chapters throughout the JCI network.

Following the formal program, the celebration continued with a fellowship activity along the Cebu coastline. Members boarded a yacht for an evening gathering at sea, where the atmosphere shifted from ceremonial to relaxed. With music playing and the sunset stretching across the horizon, conversations flowed naturally among members from both chapters. The activity provided space for members to share experiences, reconnect with friends, and build new relationships beyond the formal setting of the induction.

The evening’s festivities continued in the city as members joined the vibrant celebrations surrounding the Sinulog Festival, one of the country’s most recognized cultural events. Streets filled with music, lights, and dancing crowds as locals and visitors celebrated together. JCI members joined the festivities, experiencing firsthand the energy and cultural pride that define the Sinulog celebration.
From late evening until the early hours of the morning, the gathering became an opportunity for fellowship among brothers and sisters within the organization. Members shared moments of laughter and conversation as they navigated the lively streets of Cebu, strengthening friendships that extend beyond chapter boundaries.

As the trip concluded, participants reflected on how the experience blended formal leadership engagement with meaningful personal connections. Attending the Zugbuana induction not only demonstrated JCI Manila’s support for its sister chapter but also reinforced the value of maintaining strong relationships across the JCI network.
For those who joined the journey, the visit to Cebu became more than attendance at an induction ceremony. It served as a reminder that the strength of the JCI movement lies not only in the projects its members undertake, but also in the relationships and shared experiences that unite its members across the country.
