JCI Manila Celebrates Global Fellowship at International Night GMM

As JCI Manila continues its journey toward hosting the JCI World Congress 2026, one evening stood as a powerful reminder that leadership knows no borders and brotherhood transcends nations.

On May 30, 2026, members, guests, and international partners gathered at Lanson Place Mall of Asia for the International Night General Membership Meeting, a signature event of JCI Manila’s International Weekend. Spearheaded by Project Chairman Chester Feliciano, the event brought together members in a vibrant celebration of culture, friendship, and the shared values that unite JCI members across the globe.

Carrying the theme of cultural connection and global fellowship, International Night transformed the traditional General Membership Meeting into an immersive experience where different cultures, traditions, and perspectives converged under one roof. Members arrived dressed in cultural and fiesta-inspired attire, showcasing the diversity that makes the JCI movement truly global.

The event came at a particularly significant time for the chapter. As JCI Manila prepares to welcome thousands of delegates to the Philippines for the JCI World Congress 2026, International Night served as both a celebration and a preview of the global spirit that the chapter hopes to showcase on the world stage.

Throughout the evening, members experienced an atmosphere filled with camaraderie, networking, and meaningful conversations. The program highlighted one of the organization’s most enduring principles: that while members may come from different backgrounds, languages, and cultures, they are united by a common commitment to leadership development, service, and positive change.

The gathering also reinforced JCI Manila’s commitment to strengthening its international footprint. Under the leadership of the World Congress Engagement and International Affairs Directorate, the chapter has placed significant emphasis on building stronger relationships with Local Organizations around the world, encouraging international exchanges, and preparing members to engage with the broader JCI community.

One of the evening’s highlights was a cultural showcase that proudly celebrated Filipino heritage. Models took to the stage wearing different styles of Filipiniana attire, presenting the elegance, artistry, and enduring beauty of traditional Filipino fashion. The showcase served as a fitting tribute to the country’s rich cultural identity while offering members and guests a glimpse of the warmth and heritage that the Philippines will proudly share with the world during the upcoming JCI World Congress.

What made the evening especially memorable was its celebration of diversity. Every conversation, every cultural expression, and every shared experience reflected the richness of the global JCI network. It was a reminder that leadership is not confined by geography and that the best ideas often emerge when people from different cultures come together with a shared purpose.

Adding a special touch to the evening’s festivities was JCI Manila Director for Community Development, Dir. David Ramos, whose remarkable musical talent once again captivated the audience. Affectionately dubbed by many as the chapter’s own “Mr. South Border Jr.,” Dir. David took center stage and delivered a heartfelt performance that filled the venue with energy and nostalgia. His smooth vocals and commanding stage presence transformed the gathering from a celebration of cultures into an unforgettable night of music and fellowship, earning enthusiastic applause from members and guests alike.

Beyond the festivities, the event also served as a platform to inspire members to embrace internationalism as an essential component of leadership. In an increasingly interconnected world, understanding different cultures and perspectives has become more important than ever. International Night highlighted how JCI provides young leaders with unique opportunities to develop not only as professionals and community builders, but also as global citizens.

The evening’s spirit echoed one of JCI’s most enduring beliefs: that the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations. It is a principle that has guided the organization for more than a century and continues to shape its mission today.

For many attendees, International Night was more than an event. It was an experience that reminded them why they joined JCI in the first place. It was a celebration of friendship, a platform for collaboration, and a testament to the power of cultural understanding in building stronger communities.

As the night came to a close, one message resonated throughout the room: the future of leadership is global.

Through events like International Night, the chapter is building bridges between cultures, strengthening international relationships, and creating opportunities for meaningful connections that will endure long after the celebration ends.

One night. Many cultures. Endless memories.

And for JCI Manila, another step forward in its mission to Lead Beyond.
