For Pres. LA, the Grand Slam journey became much more than a series of international conferences. It became an opportunity to connect with leaders from every corner of the world and experience firsthand the diversity that makes JCI a truly global organization.
One of the most memorable aspects of the journey was the opportunity to overcome language barriers through innovation. During the Conference of the Americas, Pres. LA utilized his Rokid AI glasses to communicate in Spanish with delegates from across the Americas. In Africa, the same technology allowed him to converse in French with members from across the continent and the Middle East. What could have been barriers to meaningful interaction instead became opportunities to build friendships and create lasting connections.

The experience also allowed him to engage with some of JCI’s most recognizable international personalities. Throughout the Grand Slam journey, Pres. LA had the opportunity to get to know 2026 JCI World President Alejandra Castillo, World President Candidate Nihal Zoroglu, and numerous international officers whose leadership continues to shape the future of the organization. These interactions provided valuable insights into the global direction of JCI while strengthening the relationships that will soon converge in Clark for the 2026 JCI World Congress.

Another unique feature of the campaign was the Grand Slam Championship Belt, which quickly became more than just a symbol of participation. Across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, the belt became a conversation starter and an engagement tool that brought together leaders from different countries and cultures. Whether featured in photographs, networking events, or informal gatherings, the belt represented the shared mission of carrying the Clark 2026 message around the world while creating memorable moments with fellow delegates.

The scale of the mission is perhaps best reflected in the distance traveled. Throughout the Grand Slam campaign, Pres. LA journeyed approximately 161,549 kilometers across four continents. The distance is equivalent to circling the Earth more than four times. Each kilometer represented a conversation, a connection, and an opportunity to bring the world one step closer to Clark 2026.
Looking back on the entire journey, Pres. LA believes the true value of the Grand Slam lies not only in the conferences attended but in the friendships formed along the way.
As the final stop in Niigata came to a close, one thought remained constant.
World Congress 2026 will feel like a reunion.
After meeting delegates across four continents, strengthening friendships through countless conversations, and sharing the Clark 2026 vision with leaders around the globe, Pres. LA sees the upcoming World Congress as an opportunity to welcome familiar faces rather than first-time visitors.

“The world is coming to Clark, but many of them are no longer strangers. We’ve met them in Europe, in the Americas, in Africa, and now in Asia-Pacific. World Congress will be a reunion of friends.”
With Clark’s festive atmosphere, renowned Filipino hospitality, and the energy of a host nation eager to welcome the international community, he believes the Philippines provides the perfect setting for that reunion.
The Grand Slam journey may have ended in Niigata, but the relationships it created are only beginning their next chapter.
That chapter will be written in Clark.
