Filipino culture, hospitality, and leadership shone brightly before a global audience as JCI Manila staged Philippine Night at the 2025 JCI World Congress in Tunisia last November 6. The event brought together more than 2,500 delegates from over 120 countries and officially opened the global journey toward the 2026 World Congress in Clark.
Supported by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, Philippine Night served as the first major international activation for World Congress 2026. Delegates were treated to an exciting preview of what the Philippines is preparing for next year.
The Manila Mission team led by Chair Caloy Capacillo and National Chair Keon Chioa, with communications handled by Michael Fangre and Paolo Clavel, worked closely with International Affairs Director Lendel Ozaeta and JCI Manila Pres. Jan Adrian Padiernos. Together, they delivered a cultural and diplomatic showcase that placed the Philippines at the center of the global stage.
The momentum toward WC26 grew stronger with the presence of the World Congress 2026 Organizing Committee led by WC26 Congress Director and 2023 JCI Manila Pres. LA Sevilla, WC26 ET Barry Ang, and Deputy Congress Director Gio Valencia.
Mission delegates included Past Pres. Boydee Dizon, Past Pres. John Bautista, Past Pres. Jops Esquivias, Past Pres. Joel Nunez, Past Pres. Dods Lim, and Christian Chan. Their participation strengthened JCI Manila’s presence throughout the Congress.

Past Pres. Dods Lim expressed his appreciation for the team’s efforts and said that Philippine Night officially launched the road to WC26 Clark. He commended the Mission Team and the COC for their leadership and teamwork.
Pres. Jan Adrian Padiernos also shared a message of gratitude. He noted how the COC team, led by Pres. LA Sevilla and Pres. Dods Lim, made sure no one left Tunisia disappointed. He encouraged members to build on the momentum and continue proving why JCI Manila remains one of the strongest chapters in the world.

Philippine Night highlighted Filipino music, dance, cuisine, and hospitality. Delegates were given a taste of the country’s diversity, energy, and warmth. Organizers emphasized that the event was not only a cultural presentation but also a strategic moment to strengthen the Philippines’ brand ahead of WC26.

TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles addressed international delegates and expressed excitement for next year’s hosting. She spoke about showcasing the country’s beautiful islands, vibrant culture, and the warmth and creativity that define the Filipino spirit. She also reaffirmed TPB’s commitment to ensuring the success of the 2026 Congress.

WC26 Congress Director LA Sevilla shared that the Tunisia showcase generated strong interest in the Philippines. He also noted that Clark is prepared to welcome thousands of young leaders next year. He pointed to the city’s modern infrastructure, growing MICE facilities, and accessible international airport as key reasons why Clark is ready for a global gathering of this scale.

He added that for many delegates, WC26 will be their first time visiting the Philippines. He emphasized that this is an opportunity to showcase the country’s traditions and hospitality and to demonstrate why Clark is emerging as a major destination for international events.
The 2026 World Congress is expected to bring more than 6,000 delegates, entrepreneurs, and innovators to Clark. The influx of visitors is projected to generate economic activity for Pampanga’s hospitality, retail, transport, and events sectors.
Senator JV Ejercito, chairman of the Senate Committee on Tourism and a longtime JCI member, welcomed the attention generated by the Tunisia event. He expressed his full support for the 2026 hosting. He noted that the Congress will strengthen networks of young leaders and bring long-lasting benefits to the tourism industry.
Tourism and business officials believe the hosting will further elevate the Philippines in the global MICE landscape and help establish Clark as a competitive venue for large-scale international events.

Founded in 1947, JCI Manila is the first JCI chapter in the Philippines and in Asia. It is known for pioneering civic programs and producing generations of leaders. Philippine Night in Tunisia stands as a powerful reminder of JCI Manila’s legacy and its commitment to excellence. It also marks a strong beginning to the journey that will culminate in World Congress 2026 in Clark.
