JCI Manila’s JCI Week 2025 unfolded as a dynamic celebration of purpose, leadership, and community, running from April 6 to April 12. Anchored on the theme “Built Different,” the week highlighted JCI Manila’s commitment to its four pillars: Individual Development, Community Impact, International Cooperation, and Business & Entrepreneurship. Each day was packed with engaging activities, workshops, and collaborations that brought these ideals to life.
National and Local Opening Ceremonies
The celebration kicked off on April 6 (Sunday) with a dual opening. Nationally, JCI Philippines launched its official JCI Week festivities in Tagbilaran, led by National President Thirdie Chua, featuring a motorcade, Holy Mass, ribbon-cutting, and a special session on Autism Spectrum Disorder. Simultaneously in Metro Manila, JCI Manila hosted “Thrive and Flow” at Manila Padel Club in BGC, offering an invigorating wellness experience through animal flow training, guided breathwork, and an ice plunge. That same day, JCI Manila proudly relaunched Asian Pearl, its official publication as an online news website, highlighting stories of impact, insight, and inspiration from across the organization and its partners.
Activism, Blood Drives & Mental Health Advocacy
April 7 (Monday) focused on health and advocacy. The PUIC Blood Drive at Antel 2000 gathered crucial blood donations. That evening, the chapter hosted “Silver Linings,” a mental health workshop in partnership with JCI Kuala Lumpur and JCI Hong Kong Jayceettes, discussing emotional resilience and first aid for mental well-being. In a media highlight, Bilyonaryo News published a story on the Smokey Mountain Baseball Project, drawing national attention to JCI Manila’s sports-based youth development initiatives. The chapter also launched “The Debrief,” a nightly Facebook Live segment that recapped each day’s events with insights and guest interviews.
Wellness, Safety, and Recruitment
On April 8 (Tuesday), JCI Manila continued its health and education efforts. At dawn, members laced up their sneakers for the “MemWell Run Club” at Rockwell, promoting fitness and camaraderie. In Tondo, the team launched “Love Above All: Project SafeSteps” in partnership with Miss Universe Philippines, empowering children in Smokey Mountain with life skills, values education, and safety awareness. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed that day to ensure the continuity of this impactful program. The day concluded with a University of Leaders Orientation at Museo de Intramuros, where prospective members were introduced to JCI’s vision and mission.
Entrepreneurship, Digital Learning, and Esports
April 9 (Wednesday) was all about learning and tech. Sean Si, founder of SEO Hacker, led an SEO 101 workshop, offering entrepreneurs and aspiring marketers tools to boost online visibility. At STI College, JCI Manila facilitated project management and pitching sessions, helping students refine their business ideas. In the evening, two fellowship-building events took place: “Swing & Deal,” a golf networking mixer, and a Mobile Legends Tournament streamed via the official JCI Manila Esports Page, combining gaming with camaraderie.
Honoring Heroes and AI-Driven Growth
The momentum continued on April 10 (Thursday) with a mix of recognition and growth. The chapter honored excellence in education through the Ten Outstanding Guro Awards (TOGA) at STI College Las Piñas, celebrating ten inspiring teachers. At the same time, JCI Manila launched the “Limitless Fundraiser,” collecting pledges for its ongoing community projects. In the corporate realm, members gathered at the PLDT Headquarters for Lokal AI Training, learning to use AI tools for localized impact and productivity. Later, the “Table for 8: Real Estate” roundtable at Makati Sports Club brought together industry leaders and investors for a high-level discussion on property trends and passive income opportunities.
Empowering Families and Formal Partnerships
On April 11 (Friday), JCI Manila turned its focus to family welfare and formal alliances. The “Raising Bright Futures Symposium” at the JCI Manila Clubhouse brought together experts and advocates to discuss holistic child development, parenting, and education. Simultaneously, volunteers hosted “Gupit at Pangarap” at Hospice de San Jose, providing free grooming services to underserved individuals. A major milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Red Cross, solidifying JCI Manila’s commitment to disaster preparedness and humanitarian response.
Growth Tools and Joyful Closure
April 12 (Saturday) marked the finale of JCI Week 2025. The day began with the “Predictable Marketing Growth” workshop hosted by Limitless, equipping entrepreneurs with strategies to sustainably grow their businesses. Finally, the week closed on a joyful note with the JCI Family Fun Day at The Dessert Museum, a celebration of the bonds forged over the week and a tribute to the families and partners that support JCI Manila’s mission.
Through over 25 impactful events, multiple MOUs, and nationwide media recognition, JCI Week 2025 served as a masterclass in collaborative leadership and purposeful action.
