JCI Manila Conducts “JCI Discover” Training for JCI Las Piñas

JCI Manila supported the training and business development initiatives of JCI Las Piñas through the conduct of a leadership and membership orientation session on January 31, 2026, at Landos Bar in Las Piñas City.

The activity formed part of JCI Las Piñas’ ongoing recruitment and onboarding efforts under its Limitless campaign, which aims to introduce prospective members to the JCI movement while preparing them for active participation in chapter activities. The session focused on clarifying the purpose of JCI membership and identifying avenues where new members can create meaningful impact. Dito nagsisimula ang malinaw na pag-unawa sa papel ng isang Jaycee, organizers noted.

The training was facilitated by Vjohn Dizon, Director for Leadership Training and Business Development of JCI Manila. He conducted “JCI Discover,” an official orientation module designed to introduce new and prospective members to the organization’s history, mission, core values, and areas of opportunity.

During the session, participants were guided through JCI’s structure at the local, national, and international levels, as well as the expectations of membership. The training also highlighted leadership pathways, project involvement, and business development opportunities within the organization. According to Dir. Vjohn, JCI Discover serves as a foundation that helps members determine how their skills and interests can align with the chapter’s goals. Hindi lang ito tungkol sa pagsali—ito ay tungkol sa pakikibahagi, he emphasized.

The activity also provided practical context on how JCI programs translate into community impact, reinforcing that leadership development within JCI is anchored on service. Participants were encouraged to view membership not merely as attendance-based involvement, but as a commitment to consistent contribution and growth. Kung malinaw ang layunin, mas nagiging makabuluhan ang pagkilos, was a recurring point during the discussion.

Also present during the session was Mike Pizarro, National Executive Director, who engaged with attendees and shared insights on sustainable chapter growth. He underscored the importance of structured onboarding programs such as JCI Discover in ensuring that new members enter the organization with clarity, direction, and long-term commitment. Ang matibay na organisasyon ay nagsisimula sa handang kasapi, he noted.

The program followed a clear sequence, beginning with an overview of JCI Las Piñas’ recruitment efforts, followed by the JCI Discover training proper, and an open forum where participants raised questions regarding membership responsibilities, leadership development, and project participation. The session concluded with messages of encouragement for the new recruits as they prepare to take on active roles within the chapter. JCI Manila expressed its appreciation to JCI Las Piñas for the invitation and the opportunity to collaborate. The engagement highlighted the value of inter-chapter cooperation in strengthening the JCI movement through training, mentorship, and shared best practices.
