Caliber in Motion: Calel’s not just Ready. He’s Built for This.

By all accounts, Calel Gosingtian has already achieved what many hope to accomplish in a lifetime. A CEO, a community builder, and a JCI leader who has quietly shaped the movement from behind the scenes, he now stands at the threshold of his next chapter: running for Area Vice President.

At just 31, Calel is the picture of composed confidence. He carries with him not only an impressive resume, but also a reputation for follow-through, foresight, and a fierce sense of responsibility. Not to a title, but to the people behind it.

The Makings of a Leader

The youngest of four siblings, Calel grew up in a household where initiative wasn’t requested; it was expected. He took that mindset with him to the corporate world, completing a degree in Hospitality Management from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, where he would later receive the 2019 Game Changer Award from its Alumni Association.

Now serving as the President and CEO of Waters Philippines, Calel leads with a business acumen grounded in empathy. But while many CEOs might limit their energies to boardrooms, Calel poured his time, strategy, and creativity into a different arena: JCI Manila.

Built Different from Day One

Calel joined JCI Manila in January 2015. By May, he was regularized. Within the same year, he received two Best New Member of the Quarter awards, proof that his dedication was already turning heads. But recognition was never the goal. Impact was.

From 2016 to 2019, he helmed Project Opportunities Café, a business development initiative that became one of JCI Manila’s most sustainable platforms. He didn’t just chair a project. He executed a four-year strategic plan, building a model that others could follow and replicate. In 2018, he took the project to Cebu, showing that expansion without losing identity was possible.

Systems Over Spotlight

His leadership continued in 2017 when he served as Director for Business Relations. There, he pioneered institutional programs like Business of the Day, the BizExpo, and JCI Manila’s first locked-in business calendar. These are initiatives that continue to provide value to this day.

By 2019, Calel was already stepping into larger shoes as Vice President for Industries and International Affairs, where he launched projects like the Out-of-Hotel GMM Experience, Profit Center Ontos, and the Dojo Fund. This internal investment platform transformed how the chapter approached fiscal growth and sustainability.

He didn’t just create events. He built systems that are repeatable, scalable, and impactful.

Leadership Across All Fronts

When the pandemic challenged traditional engagement in 2020, Calel served as Area Chairman for The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Awards. He preserved the integrity of one of the nation’s most prestigious honors despite the chaos of lockdowns.

In 2021, he reimagined the electoral experience in JCI Manila as COMELEC Commissioner, turning it into a gamified digital experience that increased participation and redefined engagement.

The following year, in 2022, he took his talent to the national stage as National Director for Broadcast. He produced flagship programs like VP Forum, Road to NP, and dynamic AVP recaps. These efforts streamlined communication and brought clarity to a rapidly growing network.

A Legacy Year in 2023

While continuing to lead as CEO of Waters Philippines, Calel took on the demanding role of Executive Vice President of JCI Manila under President Eric Ke. It was a year that required both endurance and excellence, and he delivered both with precision and humility.

As Bid Director, he led the chapter to its most award-winning performance in National Convention history. His leadership combined strategy with heart, guiding younger members, elevating projects, and setting a gold standard for JCI Manila’s performance on the national stage.

The President Who Kept the Flame Burning in 2024

In 2024, Calel became President of JCI Manila. This was the culmination of nearly a decade of relentless service and quiet excellence. As the chapter’s chief executive, he led not with pomp, but with purpose. He balanced innovation with tradition, and performance with well-being.

Under his presidency, JCI Manila strengthened its business ecosystem, deepened civic partnerships, and reinforced its identity as a leadership development hub. He was the kind of president who empowered others to lead beside him, not beneath him. His term wasn’t just about continuing a legacy. It was about elevating it.

The Natural Next Step

Calel Gosingtian’s candidacy for Area Vice President is not a leap of ambition. It is the logical, even inevitable, continuation of a leadership journey already rooted in results.

He knows how to support chapters.
He knows how to build programs that last beyond terms.
He knows how to listen, respond, and act with quiet confidence, effectiveness, and intention.

In a landscape often defined by momentary visibility, Calel is a rare breed. He is a leader who builds legacies not for himself, but for others to stand on.

Why Calel? Why Now?

Because now more than ever, our movement needs:

A leader with systems thinking and people-first values

A proven record of performance across chapter, area, and national levels

A servant-leader who understands execution, excellence, and empathy

From cafés to councils, from behind the curtain to the frontlines of leadership, Calel Gosingtian is ready. Not just to lead, but to build the next generation of leaders alongside him.
