In a significant step toward strengthening ties between business leaders and young changemakers, the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce Inc. Philippines (FICCI Philippines) and JCI Philippines recently held a strategic meeting to explore a potential partnership that could open new avenues for collaboration in leadership development, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation.
The engagement was organized in preparation for the upcoming JCI World Congress 2026, scheduled to take place in Clark, Pampanga from November 10 to 15, and was led by Diplomatic Affairs Group, Chairman Raj Parwani. The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts by JCI Manila to engage with key institutions and strengthen partnerships that will contribute to the success of the international event.

Representing the organization were LA Sevilla and Edison Ke, who attended alongside members of the 2026 JCI Manila Board of Directors. Their presence underscored the chapter’s commitment to building meaningful relationships with organizations that share a common vision for leadership, enterprise, and community development.
During the meeting, both organizations discussed the possibility of formalizing their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The proposed agreement would provide a framework for joint initiatives and cooperation across several areas where the missions of both groups align.

Among the highlights of the discussion was the proposal for both organizations to host each other’s board members during major events, allowing leaders from the business community and the JCI network to engage directly and exchange insights. Participants also explored potential collaboration on NextGen and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including mentorship opportunities, knowledge-sharing programs, and community-focused projects.
Another major topic centered on ways the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce could support the upcoming World Congress. As one of JCI’s largest international gatherings, the event is expected to bring thousands of young leaders, entrepreneurs, and diplomats from across the globe to the Philippines. Partnership with business organizations such as FICCI Philippines is seen as a key component in expanding international participation and strengthening the congress’s engagement with the private sector.

What makes this development particularly significant is that this marks the first time FICCI Philippines is exploring a formal partnership with JCI Manila—or with any JCI organization worldwide. The meeting therefore represents more than a preliminary discussion; it signals the beginning of a relationship that could connect the business community with the global network of young leaders in an unprecedented way.
Participants from both organizations expressed optimism about the possibilities ahead, noting that collaboration between established business institutions and leadership organizations can create long-term value for both sectors. By combining networks, expertise, and platforms, the partnership could support initiatives that benefit entrepreneurs, professionals, and communities alike.

As preparations for the World Congress continue, the dialogue between FICCI Philippines and JCI leadership stands as an early milestone—one that demonstrates how new partnerships can emerge when organizations share a vision for growth and cooperation.
If formalized, this first-of-its-kind partnership will not only support the success of the upcoming World Congress but may also mark the beginning of a lasting alliance. In many ways, the meeting served as a reminder that history in organizations often begins quietly—with a conversation, a shared vision, and a willingness to build something together for the first time.
