30,780 kilometers. 5 countries. 8 sister chapters. One mission—to Lead Beyond.

From January 1 to March 15, 2026, the World Congress Engagement and International Affairs of JCI Manila embarked on a journey that went far beyond travel. It was a movement driven by purpose—one that connected leaders, strengthened global partnerships, and built friendships that transcended borders. Leadership was never meant to stay in one place.

The journey began with a powerful display of commitment. Fresh from the JCI Manila Induction on January 30, the delegation wasted no time, flying out the very next morning to Kuala Lumpur for the inauguration of President Yue Ning and the 2026 Board at ICC Pudu. Represented by VP Matt Flores, Project Chairman Ryan Jaworski, Comm Serge Sebastian, and Ron Jaworski, the team embodied what it means to show up with purpose, no matter how tight the schedule. There was no room for comfort, only mission.

Beyond the formal ceremony, Kuala Lumpur revealed something deeper. Along the vibrant streets of Petaling Street Market and over a memorable Malaysian crab dinner hosted by Senator Eddie Ho, connections were formed not through titles, but through shared experiences. It was a reminder that sometimes, the strongest bonds are built in the simplest moments. Lead Beyond Comfort.

From Malaysia, the journey carried on to Singapore, where excellence met opportunity. At the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium, the delegation witnessed the inauguration of President Jasmine How and her 2026 Board. Representing JCI Manila were President Eds Ke, fondly known as “PEDs,” together with VP Jet, Director Alf, and Project Chairman King David. More than just attendance, the mission was clear: to proudly promote the upcoming JCI World Congress and strengthen international ties.

What made Singapore unforgettable were the moments in between. From the breathtaking views of Gardens by the Bay to the energy of Universal Studios, the trip blended leadership with shared experiences. A special highlight was the lunch hosted by National President Kai Chua, where the group celebrated the birthday of President Eds Ke—a moment filled with laughter, gratitude, and genuine connection. The day closed with a warm dinner hosted by a JCI Singapore Orchid Senator, further deepening friendships that would last far beyond the trip. These were not just activities, but moments that turned colleagues into brothers. Lead Beyond Expectations.

Then came Tokyo, a city where discipline meets heart, and where this journey found its most meaningful chapter. Held at the Tokyo Dome City Hotel, the inauguration of President Takashi Togawa and the 2026 Board was a powerful celebration of leadership and vision. Led by Project Chairman Miko Enriquez, the delegation stood in solidarity with their Japanese counterparts, united by a shared commitment to service and growth.

It was after the formalities where something truly unforgettable unfolded. Around tables filled with food and drinks, conversations flowed freely. Language barriers disappeared, replaced by laughter, stories, and genuine connection. In those moments, titles no longer mattered. What remained was something far more important—friendship. Because in the end, leadership is not defined by position, but by the relationships we build. Lead Beyond Titles.

Across Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea, this journey brought together 50 JCI Manila brothers, connecting with 47 international delegates from 9 sister chapters and 2 additional international chapters. Every handshake, every shared meal, and every conversation added another layer to a growing global network rooted in trust and mutual respect. This was not just a series of visits, but the strengthening of a brotherhood without borders.

What does 30,780 kilometers truly represent? It represents sacrifice through early flights and sleepless nights. It represents commitment by showing up despite exhaustion. It represents purpose in carrying the name of JCI Manila with pride on the global stage. More than anything, it represents impact.

To Lead Beyond is to go further than expected, to connect deeper than required, and to create meaning in every mile traveled. This journey was never just about inaugurations or destinations. It was about building bridges, creating opportunities, and forming friendships that distance will never break.

While the numbers tell an impressive story, the true measure of this journey lies in the lives touched, the bonds formed, and the legacy being built. Because in the end, leadership is not about how far you go, it’s about how many people you bring along with you.

And for JCI Manila, one thing is certain: we will continue to Lead Beyond limits, borders, and expectations.
