The JCI Manila, in partnership with the Gimenez Foundation, has officially launched the Gimenez Outstanding Police Service Awards 2025, a prestigious national award aimed at recognizing the finest members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
In a year filled with challenges, the awards shine a spotlight on the dedication and service of the men and women behind the badge. With a focus on both administrative and operational roles, the Gimenez Awards honors individuals who embody the highest standards of excellence, courage, and integrity in their respective fields.
The call for nominations is open, and this year, the Ignacio Gimenez Awards 2025 seeks to recognize only 20 exceptional officers. Out of thousands who serve the nation daily, only a select few will be honored with this prestigious accolade.
The awards return to commemorate those who have demonstrated excellence in service and gone above and beyond the call of duty. The time has come to immortalize their legacy and ensure their stories inspire future generations.
The Gimenez Awards Committee has outlined a comprehensive five-phase process to ensure that the most deserving individuals are selected for recognition:
Review and Formulation of Guidelines – The committee will refine the criteria, parameters, and guidelines for the selection process, ensuring fairness and transparency.
Information Dissemination – The awards will be communicated to all PNP units across the country through collaboration with the Philippine National Police, ensuring all personnel have the opportunity to participate.
Shortlisting of Top Candidates – Through table evaluation and assessment of achievements, the committee will determine the top candidates for each award category.
Interviews – The final top candidates will undergo interviews to assess their communication skills, professionalism, and overall knowledge of PNP values and operations.
Final Deliberation and Results – The committee will deliberate on the findings from the previous phases, selecting the final list of awardees.
The Gimenez Outstanding Police Service Awards 2025 will be awarded in two primary categories: Administration and Operations. Each category is divided into two subcategories: Senior Officers (PCOL and up) and Junior Officers (PLT to PLTCOL).
The Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) will also be recognized in similar categories, acknowledging both senior and junior NCOs for their contributions to the force.
The selection of awardees will be based on a thorough evaluation process:
Table Evaluation of Accomplishments (80%): Candidates will be assessed on the significance and impact of their accomplishments, alignment with PNP goals, challenges addressed, and any recognition received for their service.
Interview Performance (20%): An interview will determine candidates’ communication abilities, general knowledge of PNP operations, professionalism, and overall presentation.
Special attention will be given to the extraordinary contributions made by the candidates in addressing organizational challenges, advancing PNP goals, and positively impacting their communities.
The Gimenez Outstanding Police Service Awards 2025 is more than just an awards ceremony – it is a celebration of heroism, dedication, and public service. This initiative shines a light on the sacrifices made by the PNP and provides recognition for the tireless efforts of officers who serve with integrity, honor, and resilience.
The awards will culminate in an inspiring ceremony later this year, with key government officials, stakeholders, and media partners in attendance to celebrate these outstanding men and women in uniform.
Do you know someone whose impact deserves the spotlight? You can nominate them now and help immortalize their legacy.
